The affective curriculum matters more, not less, as AI matters more.

As AI takes on more of the cognitive heavy lifting, the things schools have always quietly known to be central — motivation, attention, resilience, the relationships in which learning happens — stop being a counterweight to the academic curriculum and start being the curriculum. Schools that grasp this early will be visibly different in ten years from those that don't.
